I would like to start by saying thank you for helping your children with the phenomenally creative artwork turned in for the Art Exhibition. All I can say is, “ASTONISHING!” We covered Georgia O’Keeffe, Henri Matisse, Jackson Pollock, and Michelangelo. Awesome job!
This is our last month to complete our curriculum for the school year, and I want to thank my ambitious, hard-working Dragonflies and their parents. I don’t think I would have made it this far if I didn’t have all the support and cooperation from all our hard-working moms and dads. Thank you, again!
This month we will cover the continent of Antarctica, and do a cool sock project to craft an animal from there using our imagination. In history, we will acknowledge Flag Day and understand the meaning of our flag as well as make one. In sensorial, we will explore smelling bottles right from our kitchen and understand the difference between smells–coffee; spices, such as cinnamon; and herbs, such as oregano, lemon, and vanilla. How exciting! Last, but not least, and most importantly, “FATHERS DAY!” Shhhh! That is a secret surprise.
It has been a pleasure being your child’s teacher this unforgettable school year. I was scared just like my little students at the beginning, but I have learned so much these past few months and have expanded my skills considerably. I am ready for whatever is next!
